USMC 5th Marine Division full embroidered PATCH 5th MarDiv WW2 Vietnam ! Marines

Attention all Marines and Marine Corps patch enthusiasts!  Here's a FINE example of a unit logo patch for
Fifth Marine Division.
During WWII, Marines actually wore these as a shoulder sleeve insignia.  The practice was discontinued in 1947, but the patches are still worn on all manner of off-duty civilian caps and clothing as novelty items.  (This, of course, is not a WWII patch, but a modern reproduction.)

5th Marine Division has a distinguished list of battle honors, beginning in WWII with a hard-fought battle on the sands of
Iwo Jima!
After brief occupation duty in Japan at the end of war, 5th MarDiv was deactivated in 1946.
When the
Vietnam War
started up, the Fifth Marine Division was reactivated.  Subordinate battalions of the 5th MarDiv were attached to both the 1st and 3rd Marine Divsions for operations in places like
Dong Ha
and
Khe Sanh!
After Viet Nam, the division was again deactivated, and remains inactive to date.

This is a NEW and UNUSED patch.  It is NOT a war relic but a recent manufacture item!  Patch is full-embroidered with merrowed edge.
