Attention all Marines and Marine Corps patch enthusiasts!  This is a FINE example of a unit logo patch for
Second Battalion, Eleventh Marines.
These can't be found just anywhere!
Not, of course, allowed on the uniform, but worn on all manner of off-duty civilian caps and clothing as novelty items.
2d Bn, 11th Marines is an artillery battalion with a long, distinguished list of battle honors, including
WWII, Korea, Vietnam,
and
Desert Storm
where it served  as part of
4th MEB
(Marine Expeditionary Brigade).  Unit is based at Camp Pendleton, CA.  Patch reflects their affiliation with the 1st MarDiv.  Unit motto:
SECOND TO NONE
Recent Decades:
In January 2003, 2/11 deployed with 1st Marine Division and supported
RCT-5
in the initial ground offensive of
Operation Iraqi Freedom!
Back in Iraq again in 2004-2005, operated out of
Camp Ramadi
as provisional
military police.
Battery-size deployments continued after that.
