USMC 1st Bn/2d Mar PATCH ! 1st Battalion / 2nd Marines PATCH 1/2 IRAQ Rare! OIF

Description

Attention all Marines and Marine Corps patch enthusiasts!  This is a FINE example of a unit logo patch for the
First Battalion, Second Marines.
These can't be found just anywhere!
Not, of course, allowed on the uniform, but worn on all manner of off-duty civilian caps and clothing as novelty items.
1st Bn, 2d Marines has a long, distinguished list of battle honors, including
Desert Storm
where they served as part of
4th MEB
(4th Marine Expeditionary Brigade.) Unit is based at Camp Lejeune, NC. Their motto (truncated on this patch) is “Others Will Follow ... Where We Lead.”
Recent Decades:
Unit served in 2003 during the initial ground offensive of
Operation Iraqi Freedom!
Fought heroically and took 18 casualites in the battle for the bridges at Nasiriyah!

This is a BRAND NEW and UNUSED patch.  It is NOT a war relic but a recent manufacture item!  Note that this is a
smaller sized
patch, ideal for a ball cap.  Embroidered on red twill with a cut edge (non-merrowed) and a plastic heat-sealed backing (as shown in 2nd photo.)  Colors are clean and bright.  See ruler in photo for size comparison.  (Patch measures 3 inches tall.)
