Attention all Marines and Marine Corps patch enthusiasts!  This is a FINE example of a unit logo patch for
Tenth Marine Regiment.
These can't be found just anywhere!
Not, of course, allowed on the uniform, but worn on all manner of off-duty civilian caps and clothing as novelty items.
10th Marines is an artillery regiment with a long, distinguished list of battle honors!  From the historic island-hopping campaigns of
WWII
to the sands of
Operation Desert Storm,
the regiment performed its mission of providing fire support for
2nd Marine Division!
Unit is based in North Carolina at Camp Lejeune.  Unit motto:

Recent Decades:
Of course, Marines of 10th Regiment made history once again in hard-fought battles of
Operation Iraqi Freedom!
The regiment provided fire support for
Task Force Tarawa
during the initial invasion.  And there were many deployments since to
Al Anbar Province,
with individual batteries sometimes serving as provisional rifle companies instead of their traditional artillery role.  Regiment also sent units to Afghanistan in support of
Operation Enduring Freedom!
This is a BRAND NEW and UNUSED patch.  It is NOT a war relic but a recent manufacture item!  Embroidered on black twill with merrowed edge and plastic heat-sealed backing (as shown in 2nd photo.)  Colors are clean and bright.  See ruler in photo for size comparison.
