Surface Preparation and Cleaning
- For proper adhesion, clean all surfaces using a 2:1 mixture of water to Isopropyl alcohol
- Note: Prior to cleaning test solution in an inconspicuous area.
- Use a clean, lint-free cloth to clean the application area. Ensure it is dry and all oils and residues have been removed.
- This is the most important step of the application process so please take the time to prepare the surface as we are not responsible for adhesion problems due to improper surface cleaning.
Tip: A good test is to see the surface has been adequately cleaned is to use masking tape. If the masking tape sticks to the application surface without problems then you may proceed. If it does not, further cleaning may be necessary.
How to Apply Stickers or Decals
- Clean the area thoroughly with rubbing alcohol or soap and water.
- Do not use Windex or similar products because it will leave a residue behind that will prevent the sticker from adhering.
- Peel the backing off the sticker.
- Slowly lower the sticker onto the surface and rub it in place firmly with your fingers.
- Take your time doing this to reduce the chance of bubbles.
- Please allow at least 24 hours before handling.
Tip: Some people use a blow-dryer to "bend" the sticker to adhere to curved surfaces, re-activate the adhesive, and to remove the sticker decal.
