Description

I am selling an assortment of vintage to antique jewelry and rings which I have hunted for and gathered from around the world.  Please see my other offerings and thanks for stopping by!
ABOUT:
Antique figural chatelaine clip or pocket watch holder depicting a cuffed Victorian hand holding a wreath which provides the loop to clasp items to.  Hands were a popular motif in Victorian times and when holding a wreath, usually indicated mourning, but could also signify a token of affection.
This would also be great to connect to old watch chains to create a necklace. It could also be used as a chatelaine or again as a watch holder.   I showed in photos how it looks connected to some of the other chains I have available (listed separately in my store).
Antique piece that I acquired in France, it is hallmarked on the back with the Minerve head hallmark and the maker's mark that I could not identify.
MEASUREMENTS:
Almost 3 inches top to bottom, the wreath which is the widest part is a little over 1/2 inch.  It is a very sturdy piece, not easily bendable or tinny feeling, it weighs over 16 grams.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned with some age to them so they are in estate condition.   It is 100 years old or more so there is some surface wear and scratches.  Still perfectly shaped and sturdy.  On the left side of the hand are some deeper nicks and scratches that are also darkened from stubborn tarnish so please look for that in photos.  The piece was clearly worn and used over its long life.  A few nicks to the edges of the clip and some deeper scratches inside the clip in the smooth mirrored area from rubbing when worn.  It is a beautiful statement piece.  But Please note that due to age, this piece is not in mint condition.
I have many more antique pieces listed so please see my other items and thanks for stopping by!
